AHA Treatment Mask

AHA Treatment Mask

We love a good multi-purpose product around here, there’s just something about it that resonates with our inner minimalist. That’s why we’ll be sharing how to use our Brightening Cleanser as an AHA treatment mask. Firstly, a quick little roundup of our Brightening Cleanser. The real magic is the acidity, certain naturally occurring enzymes found in papaya seeds can be used to exfoliate skin on a chemical level. This breaks down the bonds so that dead skin cells and other debris can be gently washed away.

Now to kick it up a notch, the longer it spends on your skin the more bonds it can break. That’s why using it as a treatment mask can be the serious glow potion you’ve been looking for. Evenly apply a layer to your skin, leaving out the sensitive eye area. Give it about 5-10 minutes to work it’s magic then remove it with a damp washcloth. Follow up with a soothing good quality face oil, our Superfruit Face Milk is perfect for this step as it’s packed with superfood nutrients for your fresh skin.

For a double exfoliation treatment add a few pumps into one of our powdered face masks. Use a little less than a teaspoon of powder and 4-6 pumps of cleanser, feel free to add a splash of water to achieve your desired consistency. Rinse before it dries and follow with your favourite face oil.

Incorporating acids into your skincare routine is a great way to take your skin’s health to the next level. We hope this has inspired you to have a little fun and try something new!
